Change your way of thinking
Change your way of thinking
“Why not me?”…..

At times we have all felt as if we are inadequate ! I will say more often than none we feel as if we are not good enough to be like the people on the television with millions of dollars. However be careful what you pray for. If you ask to be like Beyonce and Jay-Z you will get everything they have; problems and spiritual warfare included. I don’t know any normal human that doesn’t desire to be wealthy but if you continually think you won’t be, then I will be the first to say you won’t. Your mind tells your heart, and your heart will tell your spirit, and your spirit will tell your body, The bible says in Proverbs 23:7 “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he”. I am here this morning to challenge and encourage you to change your ways of thinking!!! We cannot allow ourselves to fall into the mental traps of the enemy. We will find ourselves thinking; “I will never be more than this” or “This is my life…” and even worse “This must be what I deserve”. I come against every thought that is not like God in your mind! You CAN do it! Philippians 4:13 says “13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Something cool I learned this week from the bestselling Author Tiphani Montgomery is that when words in the bible text use “eth” or “ith” as an ending it means to continually do something. So this means that God continues to give us strength daily! Not just once. So God is strengthening you for the journey and yes you can do it! Sometimes the reason we start to feel as if we are not good enough or we are inadequate is because of our limited resources. Find mentors who provide resources and google speakers of the gospel to hear what they are saying. There are so many success courses out there! Find the correct things for you. It is not enough to just say you want to do it, you have to be willing to work and strive for the success you want and the life you aspire to live. Psalms 128:2 says “You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be blessed, and it shall be well with you." If you don’t work and produce fruit you will starve. You won’t have anything to eat or enjoy. It is scripture. Sometimes we become overwhelmed because we want to do so many things at once. While it is exciting to know your abilities at hand, you will exhaust yourself trying to be fifty people at once. God is the only Omni (all; of all things.) You cannot be everywhere at one time. Since we are in January write down one thing that you would like to accomplish each month of the year on a sheet of paper. Every month make that goal your focus for the entire month! Write down strategies that you are using to get it done, and a plan. Research and find some good resources to produce success for your monthly goal. At the end of the month write in your journals or on a sheet of paper a monthly reflection. Write down your challenges for that month, write down the experience in total whether good or bad, write down if you accomplished the goal and if not what you need to be sure to accomplish it next month. Take your time! It IS possible! When Jesus was speaking to the disciples in Matthew 19:26 He said “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Follow God, put Him first, work hard, and know that you too can inherit the fruit of your labor.
